Liverpool is facing increasing calls to make a statement in the transfer market this summer and sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

Isak still has three years remaining on his contract at St James’ Park, but the Newcastle United striker is now drawing serious interest from Liverpool

Since arriving from Real Sociedad in 2022, Isak has taken the Premier League by storm, netting an impressive 62 goals in 109 appearances and establishing himself as one of the most clinical finishers in world football

At 25, Isak is entering the prime of his career, and Liverpool are reportedly preparing a major bid to lure him to Anfield

Isak currently earns around £120,000 ($161,000) a week at Newcastle, but if he were to make the switch, he would likely expect a package in line with recent big-name arrivals.

Wirtz, who officially joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen on Friday, has reportedly signed a five-year deal worth at least £195,000 ($262,000) per week
