Liverpool are back at Anfield tonight for a friendly double-header with La Liga outfit Athletic Club.

Liverpool kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 3-1 win away at Preston last month.

Arne Slot’s side then secured a convincing 5-0 victory over Championship rivals Stoke City in a behind-closed-doors friendly.



After falling to a defeat against Milan on July 26, Liverpool bounced back with a 3-1 win over Yokohama in the J.League World Challenge.

These matches against Athletic Club will be the Reds’ last outings before they travel to London to face Crystal Palace in the Community Shield.

Athletic Club will serve as tough competition.
