Several Premier League fixtures scheduled for October have been moved to accommodate live television coverage.

Liverpool currently sit on three points after their opening-day win against Bournemouth.

The Reds ran out 4-2 winners at Anfield, with Hugo Ekitike, Cody Gakpo, Federico Chiesa, and Mohamed Salah all finding the net.

Reflecting on the performance, manager Arne Slot said: “Great game, three teams involved in a great game.

“You’ll ask me why three.

Of course, Bournemouth and us playing full gas for 96 minutes or even longer, 99 I think, and the referee that just kept the game going and didn’t blow his whistle every single time for every small thing.

“I think it was a great game to watch?

In the end we won it, so that helps for my emotions, but I think this is what you would like to see.

“I have said many times last season about our Paris Saint-Germain game and we can’t compare a last-16 game with a first game of football [of the season] in the Premier League in terms of importance, but it was similar.

“Both teams, all in, high intensity, never gave up both teams and then get a game like this, with a good referee by the way.”

Liverpool’s three Premier League fixtures in October have been moved for television purposes, with new dates and times issued for the clashes against Chelsea, Manchester United, and Brentford.

Slot’s side will still travel to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea on Saturday, October 4, but this game will kick-off at 5.30pm BST.

The game with Manchester United at Anfield will be at 4.30 pm on Sunday, October 19, while the match with Brentford will be at 12.30 pm on Saturday, October 25.

The new dates and kick-off times for the games are listed below.

Chelsea v Liverpool: Saturday October 4 (5.30pm BST – live on Sky Sports)

Liverpool v Manchester United: Sunday October 19 (4.30pm – live on Sky Sports)

Brentford v Liverpool: Saturday October 25 (12.30pm – live on TNT Sports)*
