Liverpool are yet to be approached over Darwin Nunez as Napoli reportedly weigh up a move for the striker.
Nunez has started just one Premier League game in 2025, which came when he scored and won a penalty in a 3-1 win over Southampton in March and has had his future become the source of speculation as a result.
Liverpool turned down an approach from intermediaries of clubs from the Saudi Pro League in January, with head coach Arne Slot preferring to keep his squad intact ahead of a push for the Premier League title in the second half of the campaign.

That decision paid off handsomely, with the Reds eventually cantering to their 20th championship by 10 points but Nunez's long-term future remains up in the air given the lack of starts in the top flight under Slot.
Reports in Italy have claimed Napoli are scheduling talks with Nunez's representatives ahead of a potential approach to Liverpool, who may be open to offloading the Uruguay international at the right price.

However, no direct contact has been made with Anfield chiefs as of yet, with Nunez currently enjoying an end-of-season holiday.
AC Milan had been interested back in January with then head coach Sergio Conceicao a keen admirer of the Reds' No.9.
However the Portuguese boss was relieved of his duties at the end of the season and it's unclear how much interest remains at San Siro following the decision.

Nunez scored 18 in the 23/24 term to build on the 15 he registered in his maiden campaign on Merseyside, following his switch from Benfica in 2022, which was worth an initial £64m, rising to a potential club record of £85m.
However, the Uruguay international scored just seven times in all competitions under Slot last time out.
