Liverpool will face Crystal Palace for the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday.

Liverpool announced a 10 year partnership with Adidas as their new shirt partners on August 1st, bringin to an end their previous partnership with Nike.

The release saw record shirt sales, with the club generating 700% more sales compared to last year’s kit launch, with orders from more than 150 countries.

Arne Slot’s side wore the new Adidas home strip in both of their friendlies against Athletic Bilbao at Anfield last Monday.

Now, it is confirmed that Liverpool will wear their brand new away strip for the first time, as they look to acquire their first piece of silverware of the new season.

The Reds will look to match Arsenal’s tally of 17 Community Shield triumphs on Sunday, with only Manchester United winning it on more occasions with 21.

There are also some rules of the game that you need to be made aware of.

On Sunday, there will be no extra-time if the score is level aftr ninety minutes.

Instead, the game will go straight to penalties, and both benches will be able to make six substituions from a bench of nine players.

Semi-automated offside technology will be deployed for the game, with in-stadium announcements for any decision on reviewed incidents made by referee Chris Kavanagh.

Lastly, tributes will be arried out to Diogo Jota at Wembley.

The Portuguese forward and his brother tragically lost their lives in a car ccident last month, and wreaths will be laid out prior to kick-off, with a period of silence observed before the game.
