Matt Le Tissier predicts the Premier League race to go down to the wire this season and the title race could be dictated by one transfer.
Few could have predicted Man City‘s stunning collapse in the 2024/25 campaign after claiming four of the previous five titles.
Their implosion seemed to give Arsenal the perfect opportunity to claim their first Premier League title since 2004, but Mikel Arteta’s side suffered a deluge of injuries to key players.

With their rivals floundering, Liverpool cruised to their second English top-flight crown this century, finishing 10 points ahead of the Gunners.
But with each of those three, and Chelsea, spending lavishly this summer, the Premier League looks set to be a much tighter contest in the upcoming season.
This article contains exclusive comment from former Southampton and England striker Matt Le Tissier.
Liverpool will be looking to make it back-to-back titles under Arne Slot, but the difference-maker between England’s top four clubs will likely be Alexander Isak.

The Swedish striker finished as runner-up to Mohamed Salah in the Golden Boot race last season, and if he makes his desired move to Anfield, Le Tissier told Football Insider exclusively that the Reds will win the title again.
He said: “I actually think it’s going to be a lot closer title race this season.

“I think those four teams are going to be Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.
I think if Isak goes to Liverpool, Liverpool will win the title again.
“I do think that Man City might be their closest rivals, I just don’t see how they can be that bad again.
“I think they’ll be there or thereabouts, and I think the other two are Chelsea and Arsenal that could be up there challenging.
“I’m going to go for Arsenal to finish third, Chelsea fourth.”
Le Tissier predicts that the Swedish striker’s future is tantamount to the Reds’ title-charge next term, and the club seem to agree with that sentiment.
Keith Wyness told Football Insider that Liverpool are preparing to return with an improved bid for Isak.
Darwin Nunez is set to join Al-Hilal this summer.
