Liverpool have taken two of the Premier League’s August awards.
Arne Slot was crowned the top flight’s Manger of the Month after leading the reigning champions to a perfect hat-trick of wins in the opening weeks.
The Dutchman previously won the accolade in November 2024 and has emulated Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson with his latest win.
Ferguson was the last Premier League boss to have earn the gong in the season’s opening month with a reigning champion in the 2011/12 season.
The Reds also claimed the Goal of the Month category after Dominik Szoboszlai was declared the outstanding winner from a public vote.
Szoboszlai’s free kick against Arsenal last month saw off competition from seven contenders including teammate Rio Ngumoha’s strike at Newcastle.
However the Hungary captain and summer signing Hugo Ekitike were beaten in the Player of the Month category by Everton counterpart Jack Grealish.
