The Liverpool forward has signed a new contract with the club after breakthrough season.

Liverpool’s academy is on the rise, as an increased focus on building up the quality of the academy is starting to take shape.

Jurgen Klopp gave more than 40 Liverpool academy players senior debuts for the club, demonstrating the clear pathway between the academy set up and senior men’s football.

Ngumoha is set to sign a new contract when he turns 17 at the end of August.

Players such as Trey Nyoni and Tyler Morton were also sporadically deployed by the Dutchman throughout last season.

However, the latest academy player to sign his first professional contract with the club is talented winger Joe Bradshaw.

He has taken the next step in his Anfield career and upon turning 17 last month, he was given his first contract.

17 is the age at which clubs can offer youngsters a maximum of a three-year deal as stipulated by FIFA rules.

Contracts aren’t handed out to every player, and so it is clear that Liverpool appreciate the talent of Bradshaw, as he was the standout player for a struggling Liverpool U18’s side last season.

Bradshaw finished last season as top goal scorer for the U18’s with 14 goals.

He scored on his U18 debut against Sunderland as a 15-year-old in October 2018 and has already featured in the FA Youth Cup and the UEFA Youth League.

Joe Bradshaw was signed as an U12 played from Accrington Stanley and has represented England at U16 level.
