It's been a difficult week for Liverpool Women after the Reds lost the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Sunday.
Goals from Katja Snoeijs and Karen Holmgaard secured the win for Everton before Sara Holmgaard's late sending off.
It means Liverpool need a positive result on the final day of the Women's Super League season to ensure they are not leapfrogged by their Merseyside rivals or West Ham in sixth place.
The Reds travel to WSL champions Chelsea in a 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.

Whiteley calls on Liverpool to show their class
Amber Whiteley believes Chelsea represent the perfect chance for Liverpool to show twhat they are truly capable of after the disappointment of the derby.
She wants her team to be brave against the champions and finish the season on a high after the Reds give Chelsea a guard of honour at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are close to an unbeaten season and Liverpool are the last team able to prevent them doing so.
She said: "We face the champions Chelsea and it's a really important game for us because we know if results don't go our way we could finish as low as ninth place, and that's not where we want to be.
"This is a huge game this weekend and we need to do everything that we can to be in the best place possible to face Chelsea.
"We know how good a team they are and we will be giving them a guard of honour ahead of the game and show our respect for what they have achieved in the league this season.
"I thought there were so many positives to take away from our performance against them in the Adobe Women's FA Cup semi-final and we need to take all the learnings from that game, all the positives, and put them into this game.
"We've shown on more than one occasion before that we can go toe to toe with the best teams in this league and we've got to believe we can go to Stamford Bridge and take something from the game."
Chelsea protecting unbeaten record
Chelsea's unbeaten record means they will not be taking their foot off the gas against Liverpool this weekend.
The Londoners beat Tottenham 1-0 last time out and boss Sonia Bompastor says they are desperate to keep that run going, despite making nine changes to her side for the clash vs Spurs.
