Florian Wirtz has endured a slow start to life in the Premier League since joining Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen.
Wirtz was absent from the action as Liverpool defeated Southampton 2-1 in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, 23 September.
Meanwhile, the attacking midfielder appeared as a substitute when the Reds defeated local rivals Everton 2-1 in their last Premier League game.
The 22-year-old has failed to make a goal contribution since producing an assist when Liverpool were beaten by Crystal Palace in the Community Shield in August.

Wirtz’s arrival was one of several high-profile summer acquisitions completed by Arne Slot, while Liverpool signed Alexander Isak from Newcastle United on transfer deadline day.
Speaking to German outlet SportBild [24 September], former Bayern Munich Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “I have to honestly say, I still feel sorry for Florian Wirtz because I believe the player would be better off at Bayern Munich than at Liverpool.”

Before the former Leverkusen star joined Liverpool, Bayern Munich had pursued a deal for Wirtz.
Liverpool were not alone in luring a Germany international to the Premier League instead of Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
Newcastle United signed Nick Woltemade, and Rummenigge has revealed the Bavarians were also in the mix.
Rummenigge continued: “We could have signed Woltemade.
But I also have to say: FC Bayern would be wise not to participate in every financial madness.
“I’ve always said: We want sporting success, but please with serious and solid financing.
This year again.
“And if the three currently injured players (Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito) to come back soon, then we’ll have a superb team.“
