Liverpool have been one of the busiest clubs so far this summer and their efforts to stay at the top of English football are clear.
Reds fans have had a whirlwind of a transfer window so far and it is only day two, with so many big names being thrown into the mix for Liverpool to sign.
Florian Wirtz is the announcement all Liverpool fans are waiting for, with Wirtz’s most recent update relaxing supporters as negotiations appear to drag on.
Signing big players takes a lot of time and patience, something that is hard to accept as rumours continue to accelerate.
However, following the conclusion of that move, Liverpool will seemingly turn their attentions to signing left-back Milos Kerkez, with David Ornstein’s recent update suggesting that the move is on the verge of completion.

Liverpool and Man City have been used to going toe-to-toe in the Premier League for so many years and in this summer’s transfer window, the same can be said off the pitch, too.
Wirtz reportedly rejected Manchester City in favour of Liverpool and City also reportedly wanted Kerkez.
But the Hungarian’s switch to Anfield now looks closer than ever.
Posting on X on Monday, David Ornstein confirmed Pep Guardiola’s side are now pursuing Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri, suggesting that they have pulled out of the race for Kerkez.

This has handed a huge transfer boost to the Reds as, despite Kerkez being keen to move to Liverpool, rumours around the deal had gone quiet, especially with the Wirtz saga stealing the spotlight.

Although there is still time for another twist in the plot as nothing between City or Wolves has been agreed, all parties expect the move to happen and all signs look positive for Liverpool in their pursuit of Kerkez.
The left-back role has been an area spoken about a lot this season as Andy Robertson has had a sub-par year by his standards, with many calls for Liverpool to find a replacement.
Kerkez was identified early and would be the perfect addition to Arne Slot’s side, especially as he has all the traits Robertson possessed in his prime.
If Liverpool manage to get their transfer targets through the door at Anfield this season, they could be a very dangerous prospect, and it looks like Kerkez could be a great addition as the Reds look to retain their title.
