Since being crowned Premier League champions, Liverpool have been hard at work behind the scenes looking at how they can get even better next season.
Still only 21 but with a wealth of experience in a league Liverpool are known to like and have recruited from before, the Ivorian is excellent on the ball off of both feet, offers good pace and is strong in the air.
Liverpool are known to have watched him, too.
Outgoings
With such a heavy summer of spending ahead, Liverpool will need to offset their expenditure with some high-profile sales.
Kostas Tsimikas, Ben Doak, Tyler Morton, Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliott are others who could depart.
In Nunez and Kelleher, Liverpool will hope to raise a combined £90m, while Tsimikas might leave for around what the club paid for him in 2021.
That would then give the Reds a net spend of around £150m-£160m - but they have the money after winning the Premier League and spending sparingly in the last three windows.
Diaz, Konate, Joe Gomez, Jarell Quansah, Wataru Endo, Cody Gakpo and Federico Chiesa are other candidates to leave.
But in an ideal scenario, Liverpool would keep all of these so that they have a deep squad capable of contending for Premier League and Champions League glory next season.
