Liverpool have submitted a bid for Alexander Isak (Image: Getty)
Liverpool have reportedly seen an official bid for Alexander Isak rejected by Newcastle United.
The striker went AWOL last month and hasn't been involved in Newcastle's pre-season tour of Asia, instead opting to train with former club Real Sociedad.
Isak is said to be sold on a move to the Premier League champions, who have already welcomed the likes of Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitike this summer.
Personal terms aren't expected to pose any problems, but Liverpool's biggest hurdle will likely be getting Newcastle to agree on a deal.
