Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Freddie Woodman, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi, and Hugo Ekitike have all made their way through the Anfield gates this summer.

In the meantime, the Reds have managed to recoup upwards of $200 million from selling Trent Alexander-Arnold, Caoimhin Kelleher, Jarell Quansah, Nat Phillips, Luis Diaz, Tyler Morton, and Darwin Nunez.

Liverpool is ready to intensify its interest in Parma's Giovanni Leoni, while the club has also initiated discussions with Crystal Palace about a possible deal for Marc Guehi.

Liverpool don't view Leoni and Guehi as either-or options, and according to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have been "working on" both deals for weeks.

Leoni, an 18-year-old central defender from Parma, is regarded as a top prospect for the future, while Guehi, Palace's FA Cup and Community Shield-winning captain, is seen as a "big opportunity," Romano claims.

Alexander Isak is on Liverpool's radar

The Reds are keen to bolster their defence following the departure of Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen earlier this summer, and with Joe Gomez's ongoing fitness struggles.

Currently, Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk are the only two fit senior center-backs at Liverpool's disposal, and Arne Slot is eager to add more depth to that position ahead of the new Premier League season.

In other news, Liverpool finds itself linked with a move for Newcastle forward Alexander Isak, who could be the third new arrival at Merseyside this month if Guehi and Leoni make the move

Liverpool's initial offer for Isak was turned down by Newcastle.

Liverpool has no intention of making a second offer due to Newcastle's reaction to the first bid, but a transfer could still materialize this summer.

Isak, on the other hand, is resolute in his decision never to play for Newcastle again, allegedly due to a "broken contract promise" that led him to decide that last season would be his final one at St James' Park.

The former Real Sociedad striker reportedly informed Eddie Howe, two weeks before the end of last season, of his wish to leave and reiterated this after the club's final-day defeat to Everton.

Newcastle is set to face Aston Villa in its Premier League opener on Saturday, and Howe has made it clear that he cannot select Isak, as things currently stand, for that match.

"For me, I'm just trying to manage the situation and manage the team, most importantly manage the group of players that I'm working with day to day, that I love coaching and helping," Howe said

Everything else, to a degree, from my perspective is not in my control, so it's not my focus."

When questioned about his ability to persuade Isak to stay, Howe responded: "If it was that easy, I'd have done it yesterday."
