Liverpool are reported to be in prime position for the signing of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer.
The Reds have been heavily linked with a move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The England international is reportedly expected to leave Palace this summer, instead of leaving in a year’s time at the end of his contract.
As reported by the ECHO, there is genuine interest from Liverpool in the centre-back.
The Mirror now report that the Reds are in prime position to sign Guehi this summer with talks over a potential move taking place over the weekend.
Palace are said to value the player at around £70 million.

However, they are expecting less due to Guehi’s contract situation.
It is said that a fee in excess of £40 million is seen as a more realistic deal.
It is added that Chelsea, who sold Guehi to Palace in 2021 for a fee of £18 million, have a 20 percent sell-on clause.
Therefore any money that Liverpool give Palace for the defender will also see a proportion of it go to Chelsea.
A £40 million fee paid by Liverpool would see Chelsea earn £8 million from the deal due to the sell-on clause.
