Reported Liverpool target Ibrahima Konate has suggested to UMM that Sergio Ramos is even better than Virgil van Dijk.
The Athletic report that Liverpool are finalising talks to sign Konate, with the Reds thought to be ‘close’ to signing the £34 million man.
There now appears to be a strong possibility that Konate could well be partnering Van Dijk at the back at Anfield next term.

However, he feels that the imperious Dutchman may not be the best defender in the world at the moment.
Konate was asked to rank Liverpool’s Van Dijk, Ramos and Alaba in order of their quality.
And he responded, by putting Ramos, who is on a £312k-a-week contract at Madrid (Sportekz) on top.
“Ramos, number one. [Then] Van Dijk, then Alaba,” he said.
Liverpool fans are likely to disagree with their potential summer recruit, given Van Dijk’s importance to them.

The commanding centre-back has been out injured for much of the campaign, and Liverpool have struggled without him.
Van Dijk is expected back for the start of next season and that should be a major boost for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who will surely be looking to get back on track and mount another title charge, with their star defender back involved.
