The Reds agreed a £40 million deal with Bournemouth last week, and Kerkez’s five-year contract should be wrapped up soon after his media duties and the final part of his medical are complete.

Kerkez’s arrival will address Liverpool’s need at left-back, especially with Andy Robertson considering a move to Atletico Madrid.

Liverpool’s transfer plans are as fluid as a Thiago turn in midfield — and the next big move is pointing straight toward the top of the pitch.
