Liverpool has nailed down its plans for recent acquisition Armin Pecsi, the young talent who has made the move from Puskas Akademia to the Premier League champion last week.
The goalkeeper, who hinted at this transfer 18 months ago, marks the second addition to Liverpool's summer signings, with right-back Jeremie Frimpong already through the door.
His former Bayer Leverkusen teammate Florian Wirtz is also close to joining the Reds, as is Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.
In another significant move, Giorgi Mamardashvili is set to join up with his new colleagues for preseason training, following Liverpool's confirmation of the goalkeeper's transfer from Valencia last summer.
It seems that both Mamardashvili and Pecsi are set to be integral parts of Liverpool's squad for the 2025/26 season, as indicated by discussions involving Pecsi's representation.
Matyas Esterhazy, speaking to Hungarian media outlet M4 Sport, said: "Armin will be at Liverpool next season, this was one of the most important links in our decision."
"We chose Liverpool because they outlined a professional plan that we can identify with, and Armin is a very intelligent, patient and ambitious player...
We have long believed that Armin is one of the most valuable goalkeepers in the world in his age group and Liverpool recognised this, which we are very happy about.
The German club is holding out for a deal valued at around £126 million ($171 million), while Liverpool is striving to negotiate that figure down.
Despite the disparity in valuations, it seems likely that the move will materialise, with talks of a medical potentially happening this week.
Sky Germany's correspondent Florian Plettenberg disclosed to Sky Sports News: "I expect the medical to take place in the coming days, as we expect a total agreement between Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen within the next one, two or three days.
"As there has been a new offer from Liverpool in the last couple of days and the total package is now almost €150 million ($171 million) with a big package of possible add-ons included
"We didn't get the confirmation two days ago for the full agreement, as some more figures have to be clarified
