After three years, it's clear Nunez is not the answer, and Diogo Jota's slump toward the end of the season - plus his consistent injury problems - mean he can't really be relied upon.

Luis Diaz has performed well when thrown into the role, but the Colombian isn't the answer long-term - especially if he's looking elsewhere this summer.

Clearly, the club will want to get deals for Wirtz and Kerkez wrapped up first, and then it may be a case of moving Nunez on first before getting that new No.9.

Who knows how long that will take, but in any case, Isak does feel like he might be out of reach this summer, especially with Newcastle securing Champions League football
