Speaking on the BBC Match of the Day Top 10 Podcast, Micah Richards has been lavishing praise upon reported Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe.

The Euros are just around the corner, and as you can imagine, Mbappe is the centre of attention as France attempt to follow up their World Cup win with a triumph on the European stage.

Richards says that despite the fact Mbappe is just 22 years old, Mbappe is one of his favourite players.

What’s been said?

Richards didn’t have enough good things to say about Mbappe.

Raphinha, Coutinho and Tielemans: The signings Liverpool could make this summer

“Kylian, if he’s fully fit. He’s my favourite player. He’s one of my favourite players ever. I just love to watch him, he moves like Thierry Henry, I’m going to make myself look stupid here, but I think he could end up better than Henry,” Richards said.

So, will Mbappe get his move? Liverpool are reportedly very interested, and Alan Shearer believes he could leave PSG this summer.

“I think he’ll go to another club, I think he’s done his time, maybe one more season, but I think he’ll move on to another club,” Shearer added.

Mbappe has been strongly linked to Liverpool, and The Athletic reported as recently as Wednesday that the Reds could move for him if his contract runs down.

Liverpool have to be praying that PSG can’t negotiate terms with Mbappe, as the opportunity to sign a player of the Frenchman’s calibre doesn’t come around very often.

If he came to the Premier League he’d undoubtedly be one of the best players in the league.

Remember what Thierry Henry did to the Premier League? Well Richards believes Mbappe could be even better than him, so if he came to Anfield, the Reds could dominate for years to come.

What happens with Mbappe remains to be seen, but it seems as though Liverpool is a real option.
