West Ham talisman Jarrod Bowen shared an emotional message to the supporters following the club’s first win of the season.

Graham Potter’s side earned their first win of the Premier League season after West Ham beat Nottingham Forest in a 3-0 win at the City Ground.

Bowen was West Ham’s standout player once again, scoring a crucial goal in the 84th minute and setting up Callum Wilson’s first goal for the club.

Lucas Paqueta also got his name on the scoresheet after dispatching his penalty.

Potter had been under pressure coming into this game after back-to-back losses in the league and an early Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Wolves.

Earlier in the week, Bowen had been involved in a tense exchange with a West Ham fan after the cup exit, and while he apologised for that incident, he used the Forest win to send another heartfelt message to the supporters.

The West Ham skipper shared a message to fans on Instagram with multiple photos from the victory and caption that read:

“Through the good times and bad times we’re always together.

See you after the break!”

Despite the pressure coming into the game, the Hammers showed resilience after earning their first win of the season, with Bowen at the heart of their success once again.

While his actions earlier in the week may have caused uncertainty around his future, with some suggesting Bowen could leave West Ham, he demonstrated his commitment to the club and silenced any doubts.

While Paqueta shared a reaction to Bowen on social media, he made his own statement through his celebration after the links of a move away.

Paqueta pointed to the West Ham badge after scoring his penalty, a gesture many have taken as a hint he wants to stay at the club.

Aston Villa were reportedly in advanced talks with Paqueta over a loan deal, but it appears the Brazilian may not be keen on an exit, despite negotiations ongoing regarding his future.
