Al Nassr sporting director Fernando Hierro has revealed that they want to extend Cristiano Ronaldo's contract amid reports that the club have made Liverpool star Luis Diaz their prime target.
There is uncertainty surrounding the 40-year-old's future in Saudi Arabia and it has been suggested that the Saudi Pro League side are targeting the Colombian.
After another trophyless campaign in the Middle East, which concluded against Al-Fateh on Monday, Ronaldo hinted that it could be his final game for the club after signing a lucrative deal in December 2022.
TalkSPORT reported on Thursday that Diaz had been earmarked by the Saudi Pro League side as their primary target in the summer.
The outlet has claimed that Liverpool are aware of the interest in their winger, who netted 13 Premier League goals during the title-winning campaign.

During the press conference on Thursday, Hierro expressed his hope that Ronaldo would sign a new deal in Riyadh.
"Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr runs until June 30," he said.
"We will work to renew his contract so he can continue with us, and there are many clubs interested in signing him.
"We are negotiating with Cristiano Ronaldo to renew his contract.
God willing, we will find a solution."
Diaz's future has come under increasing scrutiny in recent months following reports of interest from Saudi Arabia and Barcelona.
After falling down the pecking order, following Cody Gakpo's form, earlier in the campaign, speculation ramped up; however, Diaz proved his importance during the title run-in, becoming indispensable to Arne Slot's side.
Earlier this month, Diaz declared his desire to remain at Anfield and teased contract talks over a possible extension on Merseyside, lengthening his stay in England after arriving from FC Porto in January 2022.
“Yes, happy," he told Telemundo.
"From the first day I arrived, I’ve always been happy, calm, enjoying the football played at this great team.
