Liverpool forward Luis Diaz travelled to Portugal on Wednesday to attend a service in memory of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva.
Jota, 28, was tragically killed alongside his brother, 25, in a road traffic accident while travelling across Spain in the early hours of Thursday, July 3.
The forward was passing through the Zamora region in the north west of the country to board a ferry to England ahead of reporting back to pre-season training with Liverpool just days later.

But the duo were involved in a fatal crash as the vehicle they were travelling in veered off the road after reportedly suffering a tyre blowout.
Jota and Silva were laid to rest at a funeral service in their hometown of Gondomar on Saturday, which was attended by the majority of the Liverpool first-team, including captain Virgil van Dijk and manager Arne Slot, as well as Manchester City's Bernardo Silva and Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.
But Diaz was unable to attend the service as he was in his native Colombia.

However, the Liverpool forward was present at a seventh-day mass at Gondomar Parish Church on Wednesday to pay his respects to both Jota and Siva.
Local reports add that Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, also unable to attend the funeral on Saturday, was in attendance, as were several of Jota's international teammates, including Ruben Neves and Jose Sa.
The service in Gondomar came a day after Liverpool's players reported back to the AXA Training Centre for the start of pre-season.
The Reds are set to face Championship outfit Preston North End at Deepdale on Sunday in their first match since the forward's tragic passing
And Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan has confirmed that both the forward and his brother will be honoured before the fixture.
"As a club, there’s been lots of ideas and certainly within the supporter base lots of ideas.
That’s something we’ll take forward with the family and we want to have those conversations at the appropriate time," said Hogan on Wednesday.
"Obviously they have gone through an unimaginable situation over the course of the last several days.

"We certainly will, obviously, remember both Andre and Diogo and at the appropriate time we’ll make those plans clear.
"We’ve got the match on Sunday at Deepdale and we’ll of course remember them at that match.
Then the tour, then we come back to Anfield and then the season starts, so we’re thinking about all of those moments.
"Of course, we want to make sure we do the right thing and appropriately remember both Andre and Diogo."
