Luis Diaz has completed a permanent transfer to Bayern Munich after three-and-a-half years with Liverpool.

The Colombian winger joined Liverpool in January 2022 from FC Porto, making an immediate impact with his pace, skill, and attacking contributions. During his time at Anfield, Diaz played a significant role in Liverpool's successes, including winning the Premier League title last season and contributing to the club's pursuit of a remarkable quadruple with victories in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup in 2021-22. He scored six goals and provided four assists in 26 appearances before the end of his debut half-season.

However, Diaz's progress was hampered by a serious knee injury early in the 2022-23 season, limiting him to 21 appearances that campaign.

Following ongoing contract negotiations in which Liverpool and Diaz could not bridge their differences, and after Diaz expressed his desire to leave in the summer of 2024, the club ultimately accepted a £65.5 million (approximately €75 million) offer from Bayern Munich.
