The transfer conundrum of Luis Diaz is causing major upset at Liverpool as the club has been left with only two choices.
It has been just a week since the tragic passing of Diogo Jota, but with a heavy heart, all the usual football business must go on as the 2025-26 season is approaching fast.
Without avoiding and disregarding all the necessary sensitivity and mourning, the Merseysiders are also returning to action as the players and the coaching staff joined for the first pre-season training on Tuesday.
Amid all these affairs, the Reds’ administrative front is fighting a tough battle regarding the Luis Diaz situation.

The Colombian international is at the crossroads of his career as he is demanding a new contract with improved wages, or is open to leaving.
European giants, namely FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich, alongside Saudi clubs, have shown interest in the 28-year-old.
Speaking about his future at Anfield, Diaz recently stated, “At the moment, we are negotiating with Liverpool and all interested parties.
I’m calm and happy at Liverpool, I’ll think it over and try to make the best decision.”
And according to journalist Pipe Sierra, Luis Diaz will tell Liverpool, ‘either you renew my contract or let me leave, because I have an offer from Bayern & Barcelona’; he wants to stay.
The winger’s aim is to improve his contract conditions, or else he will ask the Merseyside club to leave this week.
Diaz currently earns £50k per week, which is significantly lower than other attackers of the club.
In comparison to Mohamed Salah’s reported £350k per week in his recent contract, the Colombian’s wages look shabby.
This is the last time for Diaz where he can secure a big-money deal as he is already 28.
Whatever may come, the Liverpool administration will be wise with their next move for Luis Diaz.
