Luis Diaz has revealed that contract talks with take place between Liverpool and his representatives this summer.
The Colombian, who has not signed an extension since he joined the club in 2022, enters the final two years of his deal with Liverpool in July and has been linked with a move away from Anfield.
Barcelona has been mooted as a possible destination for Diaz, as has Saudi Arabia.
But it appears the winger wants to remain on Merseyside, and has said he would like to pen a new deal this summer.

“Since the first day I arrived, I’ve always been happy, calm, enjoying the football played at this great team,” Diaz told Colombian news outlet Telemundo Deportes on Sunday following Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal.
“We’ll be talking about it [about renewing], we’ll talk about it.
Diaz is among a number of players whose contracts run to 2027, including Alisson, Conor Bradley and Curtis Jones.
Retaining Diaz’s services means a move into the transfer market to sign a new winger would be unlikely for Liverpool, especially given several other positions look in more urgent need of an upgrade.
The former Porto man has enjoyed an impressive end to the season, scoring four in his last five appearances
“I think he [Diaz] has been one of the best left wingers in the Premier League this season,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“I don’t think he’s quite Sadio Mane, so, in Liverpool supporters’ eyes, we haven’t quite replaced, or we haven’t got our Mane if you like
But how many of them are there about?
“If I’m being honest, I think for the majority of this season, up until Christmas, I was thinking you sell Luis Diaz in the summer.
“But I think the way he’s played and the way Liverpool’s front line might change — and with the fact he can now play through the middle in the manager’s eyes — I think he’s going to stay and it might be other players who move on in the front line other than Luis Diaz.”
