Luis Diaz could achieve a childhood dream and play for Barcelona should an agreement not be found over a new contract at Liverpool.

Back in December, the winger was linked with a move away from Anfield, with Barcelona, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly among his admirers.

It was further suggested that Diaz would have preferred a switch to Catalonia.



Diaz’s father also spoke out on a potential move to Barcelona, claiming it would have been a dream for his son.

“The truth is that I know very little about Barcelona at the moment,” Diaz senior said.

“It is true that Luis is a loyal Barcelona fan and it would be his dream to go there.

Diaz joined Liverpool from Portuguese giants Porto back in January 2022 and he has gone on to make 146 appearances.
