Luis Diaz said that he and his camp will try and make the best decision for his future as he continues to be linked with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Diaz's future has been the subject of speculation for months, with Barcelona in the market for a left-sided forward to ease the attacking burden on the Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.
It had looked as though Barcelona would sign Nico Williams from Barcelona, but for a second summer in a row, the Catalan club failed to get a deal over the line for the Spain international.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco spoke glowingly of Diaz toward the end of the 2024-25 season, while Marcus Rashford of Manchester United is also an option.
Bayern is also interested in a new winger following the departure of Leroy Sane, who signed for Galatasaray as a free agent last month.
It was reported by German outlet Bild on Monday that Diaz had assured Bayern that he is ready to join them this summer.
Diaz is due back at Liverpool training today (Tuesday, July 8), and ahead of his return to the club, he was asked by Colombian influencer La Liendra about his plans.
Luis Diaz is contracted to Liverpool until 2027
We’ll try to do our best and make the best decision.
“We’re in the process of negotiations, talking with the club, with Liverpool, with everyone who’s approaching us
Trying to make the best decision, now."
Diaz is contracted to Liverpool until 2027, but he remains on the same terms that he signed upon joining the club from Porto in 2022, meaning that he is significantly underpaid relative to his importance to Arne Slot's squad.
Luis Diaz appears to be eager to leave Liverpool
