Liverpool have reportedly rejected an offer from Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz.
According to the Athletic, the Bundesliga champions’ bid as worth €67.5m (£58.5m).
However, it was turned down immediately by the Reds who value the Colombia international at €100m (£86.6m).
Furthermore, the report states that whilst Diaz has made it clear he wants to leave Anfield, the club have informed any potential suitors that they are not interested in selling this summer.
This stance from the 28-year-old represents a surprise U-turn as it was only in May that he signaled his intention to sign a new deal with the reigning Premier League champions.
“We’ll be talking about it, we’ll talk about it (about the renewal).
Very calm, I’m happy and enjoying the Premier League.”
Signed from Porto for an initial fee of £37.5 million in January 2022, Diaz quickly became a fan-favourite on Merseyside and he played a significant role in Liverpool’s Premier League title triumph last season.
