Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes might have prepared a masterplan to replace Luis Diaz this summer.
The 28-year-old winger reportedly wants to leave the club as Bayern Munich are preparing a fresh bid close to £70m.
The German club have now identified Diaz as their primary target, and the player’s side might also be ready for the move.
Multiple reports suggest the Merseyside club and Arne Slot still don’t want to lose the Colombian this summer.
Diaz was one of the best performers last season for the Reds, scoring 17 goals while helping Liverpool win the Premier League title.
As Diaz’s future remains uncertain at Anfield, Richard Hughes might already be preparing a masterplan.

The plan looks simple.
As Bayern are now willing to pay nearly £70m for Diaz, Richard Hughes is looking to get Rodrygo for around £78m.
The 24-year-old Brazilian has emerged as the primary target to replace the Colombian, according to multiple reports.
Liverpool’s interest in the Real Madrid forward is increasing day by day, and Abdellah Boulma reported that talks have taken place between Liverpool and Madrid over Rodrygo — but nothing is advanced yet.
However, although Liverpool rejected Bayern’s previous proposal for Diaz, the Merseyside club might accept a deal close to £70m, especially since Barcelona were also reportedly asked to spend that much.
Looking at the situation — as Diaz might not want to stay — selling him for around €80m could be a great option.
If Rodrygo arrives at Anfield, he would be a long-term replacement for the Colombian.
