Florian Wirtz shared a new development on social media, prompting a wave of reactions from both current and former Liverpool players.
Liverpool secured a club-record deal for the German international earlier this summer following his standout spell at Bayer Leverkusen, fending off elite competition for his signature.
Manchester City and Bayern Munich were both keen on the 22-year-old, but Football Insider revealed that Wirtz had made Liverpool his preferred destination after holding talks with club officials and his family.
The decision ultimately saw him join the reigning Premier League champions.
Wirtz has already made a strong impression on Liverpool supporters during pre-season, particularly after scoring in a standout performance against Yokohama FM.
Now, his latest social media update has sparked even more excitement among fans and players alike, with the midfielder revealing another major step as he prepares for his debut Premier League campaign.

The German reposted Liverpool’s official announcement on his Instagram story, which received likes from both current and former players.
Among them was Milos Kerkez and Luis Diaz, who previously wore the number seven before his recent departure from Anfield.
Diaz officially joined Bayern Munich earlier this week on a four-year deal worth £65.5 million.
The Colombian had two years remaining on his Liverpool contract, but with no progress on a new agreement, he pushed for a move away from the club.
Wirtz, meanwhile, joins the Reds as one of the most highly rated young talents in world football.
Although they paid a club-record fee for the midfielder, Football Insider revealed Wirtz is could cost Liverpool in excess of £200m once add-ons and wages are included.

While Diaz has already moved on, another player who could soon follow is midfielder Tyler Morton.
Football Insider revealed that Morton is open to leaving Liverpool, having struggled to break into the first team under Arne Slot.
West Ham have previously shown interest in Morton, but recent reports suggest a £15 million move to Lyon is now a strong possibility [The Athletic].
Although Liverpool would ideally prefer to offer Morton a new deal and send him out on loan, a permanent switch now appears to be a likely outcome.
