Luis Diaz appears to have no qualms about Florian Wirtz inheriting his No.7 shirt at Liverpool after he sealed his £65.5m move to Bayern Munich earlier this week.
Yet after multiple attempts to tie Diaz down to a new contract were unsuccessful, a second bid from Bayern Munich was accepted.
Then, just days after Diaz's exit from Anfield, Wirtz, who joined from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth a potential £116m, was confirmed as Liverpool's new No.7 when the new kits for the 2025/26 season were launched on Friday.

Following the news, Wirtz posted a handful of photos of himself modelling the new home and away kits - which are designed by Adidas - to Instagram with the caption: "When dreams become reality.
"Come on Liverpool x adidasfootball!"

But most notable was the 'like' from Diaz just days after leaving Anfield.
However, it's not the first time this week that Diaz has made a subtle nod to Wirtz, with the Colombian revealing on Thursday that he had sought advice from the German international ahead of joining Bayern Munich.
"I know what kind of football is played here," the former Liverpool forward said at his unveiling this week.
