Luis Diaz produced an early candidate for miss of the season for Bayern Munich on Saturday as he failed to convert an open goal from inside the six-yard box.
Bayern's game away to Augsburg had been underway for fewer than 30 seconds when Michael Olise sent a low cross across the face of goal, taking the defenders and goalkeeper out of the game and leaving former Liverpool winger Diaz with an apparent tap-in from just two yards out.
However, Diaz appeared to get his feet mixed up and instead of slotting an easy finish into the goal, the ball ended up going in the opposite direction, leaving his teammates in disbelief.

Thankfully for Diaz, the miss didn't end up costing Bayern as the Bavarian club won 3-2, with Diaz scoring his team's second goal of the game and also claiming the MVP award — the Bundesliga equivalent of the man of the match award.
Diaz has started his Bayern career brightly, scoring two goals and assisting two more in just two Bundesliga appearances.
While Diaz impresses for his new club, his former teammate and regular challenger for the left-wing spot in Liverpool's team, Cody Gakpo, has signed a new long-term contract with the Reds.
