Luis Diaz revealed he's planning to write to James Rodriguez after the ex-Everton star admitted his international team-mate was right to swap Liverpool for Bayern Munich.
Wanting a new challenge, Diaz is now preparing for his first season of football in Germany and following in the footsteps of Rodriguez, who spent two seasons on loan in Bavaria from 2017 to 2019.
The 34-year-old, who spent one season at Everton, is now plying his trade in Mexico with Club Leon and was asked about Diaz's move after his side's 2-0 loss to New York City FC in the Leagues Cup earlier this month.
Rodriguez admitted he was in favour of his compatriot's decision to try a new chapter in his footballing career.
