Luis Diaz has been seen traveling with Liverpool’s squad to Japan for their pre-season tour, despite Bayern Munich and the Reds agreeing a €75 million (£65.5 million) transfer fee for the Colombian winger.
Liverpool and Bayern Munich have reached a comprehensive agreement for Diaz’s transfer after weeks of negotiations.
The deal is worth €75 million (£65.5 million) including add-ons, with the Colombian set to sign a contract until 2029 at an annual salary of €14 million.
Bayern’s initial bid of €67.5 million (£58.6 million) was rejected by Liverpool, but the German champions returned with an improved offer that has now been accepted.
Despite the transfer being finalized, Diaz traveled with Liverpool’s 29-man squad from Hong Kong to Tokyo as part of their Asian pre-season tour.
The winger was pictured in some Liverpool’s official squad photos for the Japan leg of their tour, alongside other players whose futures remain uncertain, including Darwin Núñez and Ben Doak.
Now Fabrizio Romano has outlined the clear roadmap for completing Diaz’s move to Bayern Munich.
In his latest update, Romano confirmed the “plan” for the Colombian’s transfer and revealed that Diaz will be signing his Bayern Munich contract in the next 24 hours or so:
“Plan confirmed for Luis Diaz: new Bayern winger will arrive today in Munich, and he’s set to complete medical on Tuesday?
Four-year deal to be signed in next 24h”.
Romano’s trademark “Here we go!” confirmation came after Bayern reached “full agreement” with Liverpool, with authorization for the medical also confirmed by the Premier League champions
