Luis Suarez has paid tribute to Liverpool after his former club’s Premier League title triumph, while also offering up some advice to Darwin Nunez as his fellow countryman looks set for an exit.
Suarez of course came close to lifting the title during his time at Anfield, with the Reds falling agonizingly short under Brendan Rodgers during the 2013/14 campaign.
Ahead of that game, Suarez was asked about his former side’s triumph this year, with the former Barcelona star expressing his joy for Arne Slot’s team.
"I'm so happy for Liverpool," he said.
To win the Premier League after a few years is so nice for them."
Suarez was also asked about the future of his former international teammate, with Nunez looking as though he will be leaving Liverpool this summer.

Darwin Nunez looks set to leave Liverpool this summer
Suarez has been a staunch supporter of Nunez throughout his rollercoaster spell on Merseyside, although he doesn’t want to intrude on his compatriot’s career too much on this occasion.
"Every time, I try to help him but his decision is for himself," said Suarez
"He knows what he wants from football and what he wants for his future and his family."
Liverpool.com says: Suarez likely knows what we all do about Nunez - that his future doesn’t lie at Anfield anymore.
The decision lies in where he goes next, and whether he feels he might still have a point to prove in Europe, or if he decides on a big payday in the Middle East
