Liverpool transfer target Milos Kerkez has withdrawn from international duty with Hungary due to "private reasons", according to reports.
The Reds have intensified their pursuit over the past week, with interest in Kerkez dating back to January.
The player had been away on international duty but missed Hungary’s 2-0 defeat to Sweden in a friendly on Friday evening due to a minor injury.
Now, the latest update from Hungarian football journalist Bence Bocsak reveals that Kerkez has left the training camp and will play no part in Tuesday’s match against Azerbaijan.
The specific reason for his withdrawal has not been disclosed and remains a private matter, with no indication as to whether it is transfer-related.

The Times journalist Paul Joyce recently reported on Liverpool’s pursuit of Kerkez, coinciding with news that the club had submitted an improved offer to Bayer Leverkusen for another top target, Florian Wirtz.
The report states that Liverpool remain in contact with Bournemouth over a potential move, although sporting director Richard Hughes is aiming to negotiate down the south coast club’s £45 million asking price.
Bournemouth are under little pressure to sell, having already offloaded central defender Dean Huijsen to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
The Spain international had a £50 million release clause in the contract he signed just 12 months ago, meaning the Cherries have already secured a significant sum this summer.
