Jadon Sancho could lose more than just his place at Man United following his season-long loan at Aston Villa.
Sancho joined Villa on transfer deadline day, alongside Harvey Elliott and Victor Lindelof at Villa Park, having spent last season on loan with Chelsea.
It has already been widely reported that Villa will cover 80 per cent of Sancho’s wages after leaving Old Trafford yet again, having been placed in the Red Devils’ “bomb squad” by Ruben Amorim.
The 25-year-old winger has really struggled since returning to the Premier League.
Fans have been waiting for managers to unlock the same player who notched 50 goals and 57 assists for Borussia Dortmund.
During the 2024/25 campaign, he recorded five goals and eight assists in 41 appearances at Stamford Bridge, but despite playing a key role, Chelsea decided against signing Sancho permanently.

With the Man United outcast now arriving at Villa Park, Gabby Agbonlahor has sent an early warning to him about what could happen if he fails to impress under Unai Emery.
“His contract is up at the end of the season; I think Man United have the option to extend it by a year.
It’s make or break,” Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT (4 September).

He continued: “If he doesn’t put in a top season for Aston Villa and do really well, your £350,000-a-week will go down to £50,000-a-week as your new club.”
Dropping from £350,000-a-week to £50,000-a-week would be a huge amount of money for Sancho, with a yearly loss equating to £15million, should he have to leave Old Trafford for a smaller team.
The Villans were early suitors when it came to the 25-year-old, given that their current financial issues meant loans were always likely before the transfer window slammed shut.
Mick Brown told Football Insider that Saudi Pro League sides wanted to sign Sancho, with a return to Dortmund also on the cards, as well as German rivals Bayern Munich.
It is understood that the player turned down an offer from Serie A giants AS Roma before transfer deadline day, with Besiktas also interested in taking the winger on loan.
A number of clubs will be lining up for his signature next summer if it doesn’t quite work out at Villa, with everyone seeing the talent that lies beneath the surface.
