Man City fans have slammed the first half performance of Jeremy Doku after his initial horrendous showing against Napoli in the Champions League before grabbing a match-salvaging goal.
The Cityzens beat Napoli 2-0 in their opening fixture of the Champions League (18 September) which saw ex-Man City icon Kevin De Bruyne subbed off on his homecoming in the 26th minute.
Pep Guardiola‘s side tasted success in the Manchester derby with a 3-0 victory over neighbours Man United with Danny Murphy deeming Man City’s Erling Haaland the best striker in the world.
Juventus target Bernardo Silva started for Man City but it was Belgium international Doku who received attention for all the wrong reasons amongst the City faithful in the first 45 minutes for his poor performance prior to notching a match-saving goal.

Fans were not happy with the 23-year-old’s wasteful showing even after the Italian outfit fell to 10 men early in the first half.
Despite the Anderlecht academy graduate notching a goal in the second 45 minutes, City supporters were still incensed with his sloppy first 45 minutes at the Etihad.
One fan said: “Can someone tell Doku to look up,” while another replied, “Anyone still back Doku?
After that performance.”

Other Cityzen supporters were enraged by the number 11’s showing, saying: “Doku is really slow in this match” and another one adding: “Doku should leave the pitch first of all.”
Fellow fans were infuriated with his display, as one stated: “Doku as always [bad], people were gassing him up for that washed derby game.” with another saying: “Doku should go man.”
The frustrations over the former Stade Rennes winger were also reflected in his stats from the game as well with the goal covering for an all-round below-par display.
The Belgium international lost the ball 13 times as the Cityzens tried to retain possession to break down a dogged Antonio Conte defence.

Moreover, the 23-year-old only won six of his 11 ground duels as he was inconsistent at tracking back for the blue half of Manchester.
The goal was a crucial moment to save his game as he got hauled off in the 69th minute which was likely a substitution Guardiola had planned for his dismal showing up until that point.
