Manchester City are set to take definitive action over the future of winger Savinho.
In the summer transfer window, Man City rejected two bids from Tottenham for Savinho, as Thomas Frank looked to bolster the squad he inherited from former Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou.
The 21-year-old scored his first goal of the season as Man City defeated Huddersfield Town 2-0 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, 24 September.
He hopes to earn his first start of the Premier League season when Pep Guardiola’s men host Burnley on Saturday, 27 September.

Guardiola has made major decisions in recent days, as Kalvin Phillips made his long-awaited return in the win over Huddersfield.
Man City can also agree a new sponsorship deal worth £60million a season, as they vie to beat sides like Liverpool and Arsenal to Premier League glory.
Meanwhile, reporting via X on Thursday, 25 September, Fabrizio Romano said: “Manchester City are closing in on an agreement over a new deal for Savinho.

Man City’s decision to hand Savinho a new deal is a major vote of confidence in the winger, because he scored just one goal in the Premier League last term.
However, he produced 10 assists across all competitions, which Guardiola will hope is a sign of things to come in the future.
So far this season, though, the 21-year-old’s only goal has come against League One opponents Huddersfield Town, albeit he hasn’t started a game in either the Premier League or the Champions League.
When Guardiola names Savinho in his starting 11 this term, the winger must be more clinical, while he will also be eager to produce more in his substitute appearances.
The Etihad Stadium outfit’s upcoming Premier League clash with Burnley gives the former Girona man a chance to show his class against a newly promoted side.
Guardiola’s men must get back to winning ways in the top flight, having endured a 1-1 draw with Arsenal last time out.
