Manchester City have made Florian Wirtz one of their top transfer targets.
Liverpool already expressed an interest in signing the Bayer Leverkusen player earlier this week.
As reported on Thursday, the Reds are ready for a transfer battle, and it looks like they will get that.
After contacting Wirtz's representatives, they told them to expect competition from Man City and Bayern Munich.
However, Wirtz is reportedly expected to remain in Germany, either with Bayern or Leverkusen.
The Mirror claims City manager Pep Guardiola would ideally like some business done during that time.
They also allege that the Germany international has already spoken to the Catalan coach and Arne Slot about his next move.
As such, Wirtz would seemingly cost around €150m (£126m).
Leverkusen purportedly want at least £100m, and their reported interest in City player James McAtee could seemingly see a deal reached at that price.
In the event of that exchange, the latter would reputedly become a £25million makeweight.
