Everton loanee Jack Grealish impressed on his full debut at the new Hill Dickinson Stadium and marked the occasion with a message for his new supporters.
After falling out of favour at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, Grealish secured a loan move to Everton earlier this summer.
The winger endured a frustrating campaign last season, starting only seven Premier League matches as Jeremy Doku and Savinho moved ahead of him in the pecking order.
Despite interest from several clubs, the England international chose David Moyes’ side as his next step and he wasted no time making an impact.
On his first start for the Toffees, Grealish set up both goals for Everton in a 2-0 victory over Brighton, assisting James Garner and Iliman Ndiaye to cap off a dream debut.
Following the win, he shared a message with the Everton fans, which sparked plenty of reaction from his former and current teammates.
Everton marked their first Premier League game at the new Hill Dickinson Stadium with a 2-0 win over Brighton on 24 August and Grealish took the chance to thank supporters after playing a starring role.
The winger posted a series of pictures on Instagram alongside a heartfelt message: “Phwoaaar what a Sunday that is.
What a feeling to make my home debut and get our first win of the season.

The post was met with plenty of support with fellow new signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall responding with heart emojis, while Phil Foden and James Tarkowski were among those to show their approval by liking the message.
Back in May, Football Insider exclusively revealed that Grealish had privately told friends he did not expect to remain at Manchester City beyond the summer, believing he had been “frozen out” by Guardiola.
Now, he appears revitalised under Moyes, as Grealish chose Everton over rival interest from Newcastle and Tottenham to reignite his career.

While Grealish has already made his mark as one of Everton’s key summer arrivals, the Toffees remain active in the market as the final week of the transfer window approaches.
Football Insider revealed Everton are plotting a move for Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma, with Moyes believed to be a big admirer of the Mali international.
The club are prioritising midfield reinforcements before the deadline, and with Bissouma potentially available, Everton have been alerted to the possibility of making a late push for his signature.
