Manchester United damaged Liverpool’s Premier League title hopes after holding their arch-rivals to a thrilling 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.

Jurgen Klopp's side somehow squandered the chance to return to the top despite not offering up a single shot in the first-half.

With Luis Diaz finding the net from close range, it felt like a game that Jurgen Klopp's side were set to kill off before Jarell Quansah endured a moment to forget.

Under no pressure, the 21-year-old squared a pass straight into the path of Bruno Fernandes who responded by scoring a stunning 40-yard effort in front of the Stretford End.

Erik ten Hag’s side unbelievably completed the comeback with England starlet Kobbie Mainoo curling 17 minutes later.

With the title slipping out of their hands, Aaron Wan-Bissaka gave Mohamed Salah the chance to equalise from the penalty spot after bundling over Harvey Elliott.

Liverpool pushed for the winner but ultimately had to settle for a point and now remain behind Arsenal on goal difference.

The Reds are currently top of the Premier League and flying, with another win moving them one step closer to getting their hands on the title.
