Man United are accelerating Andre Onana’s sale now they are completing a deal to sign Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
The 29-year-old’s future at Old Trafford has been uncertain since the beginning of the window, but a lack of interest has seen him remain in Manchester.
However, he now looks set to be pushed down the pecking order as Man United close in on signing Lammens on a five-year deal.
This comes after former United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Man United are pushing to sign a new goalkeeper before the transfer window closes.
Ruben Amorim has been determined to upgrade his options between the sticks, and finally looks to have got his man to replace Onana and Altay Bayindir.
Now, United are preparing to accelerate talks over the Cameroon international’s future before the window closes at 7pm.

Despite having signed Mads Hermansen from Leicester earlier this month, the Hammers are interested in further bolstering their goalkeeping ranks.
The Hammers have emerged as key contenders after contact was made between the two clubs, but it is unclear whether they will pursue the opportunity.
Instead, a number of other suitors for the goalkeeper could be sounded out by the Old Trafford transfer team in a bid to force through a late move.
There remains a strong possibility Onana stays at United given the apparent lack of interest, but Amorim is keen to move him on should a late deal present itself.

Onana may not be the only Man United star on his way out of the club on transfer deadline day, with Harry Amass also closing in on an exit.
Football Insider exclusively revealed that Amass is undergoing a medical at Sheffield Wednesday as he closes in on a season-long loan to the Championship outfit.
The 18-year-old is set for a switch to the second-tier side in order to gain more experience at senior level, with an eye on breaking into the Man United first-team.
Amass made four Premier League starts for Man United in the latter stages of last season, as well as a single substitute appearance and remains very highly rated.
