Manchester United fans have reacted to comments Alejandro Garnacho has made after he joined Chelsea before deadline day.
Chelsea signed Man United’s Garnacho for £40million this summer to bring an end to the Argentina ace’s controversial time at Old Trafford.
In the 144 games he played for United, the 21-year-old scored 26 goals and assisted 22, but he has now started a new chapter with Chelsea.
Garnacho‘s first interview as a Blue has naturally attracted a lot of attention from angry Manchester United supporters, who have all spotted the same thing.

After joining Chelsea, Garnacho was asked about how he felt after the move and described the switch as a “good step” for his career and family.
But it was his comments on supporting Chelsea as a child that sparked an online response from United fans.
“I used to watch the Premier League when I was young and Chelsea because I liked Eden Hazard,” he told Sky Sports.
“That’s why I support Chelsea a bit.
I wore the kit because I like football.”

In addition to claiming to have always been a Chelsea fan, Garnacho recently shared an Instagram update from Chelsea’s training ground as he aims to make an instant impact at Stamford Bridge.
Man Utd ace Kobbie Mainoo has already farewelled Garnacho, who is not the first player to declare an eternal love for his new club in his first interview and he won’t be the last.
It’s no surprise, however, that United fans have taken the opportunity to react to the Argentine’s comments now that the two parties have cut ties.
Taking to X, many United fans have all pointed out the same inconsistency in Garnacho’s first interview as a Chelsea player.
Another fan added: “You once said Manchester United was your boyhood club and Ronaldo was your idol, now it’s Hazard.”
Another replied: “Confessing this now is like a comedy to me.
I guess it’s because the move happened.”
Meanwhile, a couple of fans wish for more transparency from players signing for new clubs in general.
Garnacho did have one Arsenal fan come to his rescue…
The 2025/26 Premier League season is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling yet with the top six strengthening significantly, while clubs throughout the top flight added a lot of talent.
Garnacho’s move to Stamford Bridge will only add fuel to the fire that is the rivalry with Manchester United.
