Manchester United could have longer than they originally thought to offload Jadon Sancho, sources have told Football Insider.

It had seemed as if United were facing a race against time to sell Sancho, given the fact that the Premier League transfer deadline is on 1 September.

However, sources say that if United can find a Turkish club that wants to sign the out-of-favour winger, then they will have longer to agree a deal.

The transfer window in Turkey does not close until 12 September, giving Ruben Amorim’s side an extra 11 days to get rid of Sancho.

Sancho clearly has no future at Man United and is well down the pecking order under Amorim, especially after the additions of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

The 25-year-old has spent the last 18 months on loan, first at Borussia Dortmund, and then at Chelsea.

However, the Red Devils are finding it difficult to offload the former England international, despite a number of offers coming in.

Meanwhile, Europa League hopefuls HNK Rijeka have made an official approach for Manchester United’s Ethan Williams, sources have told Football Insider.

Last season’s Croatian Champions have made a loan offer for the domestically in-demand winger, who scored for United in their pre-season game against Bournemouth.

If the move is completed, Williams could be the only player on United’s books to play in a European competition this season.

Amorim’s side missed out on Champions League football following their Europa League final defeat to Tottenham back in May.
