AS Roma have made contact with Manchester United over a potential move to sign Tyrell Malacia.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Malacia‘s name cropped up during club-to-club discussions over Jadon Sancho – another player who is on the radar of the Italian giants.
It’s claimed that Malacia is keen on a move to the Serie A side, particularly given how his career at Old Trafford has played out so far.
Discussions between Roma and Man United have been going on as they look to find a solution to Sancho’ situation at Old Trafford.
Keith Wyness told Football Insider that Sancho could be sold for just £15million, however the conversation swiftly moved on to Malacia who is ready for a new challenge too.
The left-back was signed under Erik ten Hag from Feyenoord in 2022, however he was sidelined for over a year due to a lengthy knee injury suffered in July 2023.

Thankfully for Man United, interest is building in the left-back with Besiktas also keen on a move to sign Malacia.
It means that his Red Devils nightmare is twice as likely to come to an end this summer.

In a Football Insider exclusive it was revealed Scottish champions Celtic had expressed an interest in Malacia with a loan move on the table, if Man United could subsidise his wages.
However, no move has yet materialised, with the Scottish domestic season already underway,
For Malacia, there’s a real need to get his career back on track following a really difficult couple of years.
It’s very clear that he doesn’t have a future under Ruben Amorim and so the opportunity to move on and rebuild his reputation elsewhere could be the perfect tonic.
