Manchester United have made their stance on Rasmus Hojlund’s future clear after leaving him out of the matchday squad to face Arsenal.
Ruben Amorim‘s side face the Gunners in the opening game of the season at Old Trafford with all eyes searching for the team sheet to see who would be lining up the Red Devils.
According to The Athletic [August 17], Hojlund was left out of the matchday squad after being told that he faces a challenge to get minutes under Amorim.
The decision comes with speculation over Hojlund’s future swirling during the summer months.

Amorim’s decision to exclude Hojlund from the squad to face Arsenal means that the writing is firmly on the wall for the striker.
Amorim has already admitted that Hojlund could leave Man United imminently with a move to AC Milan in the offing.
While a move to the Serie A giants is gathering pace, Football Insider revealed that the Red Devils are unlikely to bring in a fee for the Danish star.

Football Insider revealed on 12 August that Milan are keen on a loan deal for Hojlund, but the Serie A side are unwilling to pay the £40million fee Man United want to recoup this summer for the 22-year-old.

The best thing for all parties is for Hojlund to move on and find his mojo once again.
The 22-year-old has not become a bad player overnight but struggled in a poor Man United side last season with limited service.
With numerous attacking additions including Matheus Cunha from Wolves, Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford and most notably, the £74million deal to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, it’s clear to see why opportunities will be limited.
That is only emphasised by the lack of European football on offer this term.
For Hojlund, the opportunity to go and show what he can do for a European giant could be exactly what he needs.
A good season on loan could see him return to the fold at Man United next season, or alternatively earn a permanent move away on the back of a decent campaign.
He wouldn’t be the first former player to thrive away from Old Trafford in recent years and it certainly feels like there’s more to come as far as Hojlund is concerned.
