Man United may have made huge mistake with Benjamin Sesko after what pundit said

Man United have potentially made a major error over Benjamin Sesko after the Slovenian’s stumbling start to the season.

The number 30 has been nothing short of disappointing at Old Trafford so far with Sesko perhaps the worst transfer of Man United’s transfer window.

Man United fans are becoming frustrated with Sesko, especially after his wasteful performance in the Red Devils shock EFL Cup exit to Grimsby.

Having failed to score in four appearances for his new club, questions are being asked of United‘s recruitment and whether the decision to bring in the forward was a substantial misjudgement.

Speaking on talkSPORT (4 September), former Tottenham forward Alan Brazil and ex-Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor were discussing about the new frontmen who have graced the Premier League.

The prime focus of the summer window was over the forward position given a bizarre lack of quality number nines at the moment.

Agbonlahor spoke on the Slovenia international’s first start for the Red Devils against the League Two outfit where he was miles off the pace.

The former Villain said: “During the game against Grimsby he didn’t look like he was confident, he was snatching at chances.

“I don’t want to write him off after three to four games, he maybe needs three or four 90 minutes.

“He needs time to get used to his teammates, at the moment he’s not looking like the answer for Manchester United.

“But, we might look in five or six games and he’s got his first goal and he’s got his confidence up but, he might be one that you have to look and give time to.”

Sesko is not alone in struggling to get off the mark in the English top-flight after arriving from Germany with several other faces in the same position.

Florian Wirtz, the second most expensive British transfer of all-time, has failed to notch a single goal or assist in three Premier League games.

When observing these players who are used to having more time and space in the Bundesliga, they are swamped and smothered in an instance in England.

Others like Hugo Ekitike are thriving with the Frenchman scoring twice in three matches following his move from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Potentially, his experience of playing in France may have widened his perspective by being forced to adapt to new leagues, hence why he has started so well.

For the Slovenian, United fans will want to see more from him very quickly to return on heavy investment which right now looks to have been wasted on the number 30.
