Manchester United have agreed a deal with Royal Antwerp to sign goalkeeper Senne Lammens on transfer deadline day.

Amid recent goalkeeping errors made by both Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir, Man United have identified Lammens as a suitable number one.

The 23-year-old maintained 10 clean sheets in 41 Belgian top-flight appearances last season, helping Stef Wils’ side to a fifth-place finish.

Meanwhile, Man United had also targeted a move for Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez, who was absent as Unai Emery’s men were thrashed 3-0 by Crystal Palace on Sunday, 31 August.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein revealed via X on Monday, 1 September: “Manchester United reach total agreement with Royal Antwerp to sign Senne Lammens.”
